Whether it's the scapular region, thoracic vertebra area, or upper shoulder region, the upper back is often plagued with various issues such as pain, stress, trigger points, and muscle knots.

There are several key factors contributing to tension in the upper back, including poor postures, emotional stress, lack of movement, and individual physical constitution. It's increasingly rare to find individuals in modern times who do not experience pain or tension in their upper back.

The prolonged hours spent in front of computers or in cars, coupled with limited movement, create a stagnant environment in the upper back. This, in turn, leads to a vicious cycle of stiffness, rigidity, discomfort, and pain.

Interestingly, many patients who seek treatment in my practice exhibit an imbalance between mobility and stability in the upper back. Those with good mobility often have weak muscles that fail to adequately support the upper back, resulting in pain. On the other hand, individuals with strong muscles tend to be stiff and lack the necessary flexibility, leading to similar discomfort and pain.

Conducting a thorough assessment allows me to devise the most effective treatment strategy tailored to your specific needs. By addressing the root causes and identifying the balance between mobility and stability, we can work towards relieving your upper back pain and improving your overall well-being.

Through a combination of targeted therapies, exercises, and lifestyle modifications, we can restore harmony to your upper back and help you find relief from pain and tension.
